Penneys/Primark Make-Up Review Part 2

penneys-logo-web

Today I am going to be reviewing the Primark primer and lipsticks. I have really fallen in love with these products and have gained so much respect for Primark with the products they have come out with. They may not be on the same level as MAC, Inglot, Urban Decay or Tarte but they are in a league of their own. I don’t know any other brand that are just as affordable as Primark or as widely distributed across Ireland.

I also wanted to say thank you for the great response from my first blog I was so overwhelmed by it all. I have decided that if my blogs keep getting great responses and followers I will do a giveaway for New Years. So watch this space!

  1. Ps Pro Miracle Primer – Prep and Prime

This primer creates a smooth flawless finish and minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines. There is 30 ml or 1 US Fl.Oz and it retails for €5.00. I purchased this primer because I was hearing some people saying it was a dupe for the Benefit Cosmetics Porefessional, I haven’t tried that primer as I’m broke so I said why not give this a try. I can instantly see the effects as soon as I apply it on my skin, it really gives you that flawless airbrushed look. I have big enough pores, they don’t hide them completely but it does what it says on the tin and minimizes them. I wouldn’t put it all over my face as I find it drying on my cheeks but that could be because I have sensitive skin. It says that it is suitable for all skin types, but if you have an oily t-zone I would recommend the Mattifying primer as this doesn’t stop the appearance of oil and gives me a shiny nose.

2. PS.. Lustre lipsticks

These lipsticks were the first PS products I bought because I have seen and heard so many people buy them. I first seen them when a local Make-Up Artist Susan Ryan tried them on her snapchat. I bought two shades the top one is “It’s a date” and the bottom one is “Barely There”. It has 2.5 g of product and a net wt of 0.08 Oz and retails for just €1.30. The  lipsticks have a strong scent but it is not overwhelming, it reminds me of the baby medicine Calpol. The formula is very creamy and moisturizing, I wouldn’t say its long-lasting but for that price who can complain?

I am a nude lipstick kind of girl, I’m not very adventurous when it comes to lipstick so I said I would try out “It’s a date” as it’s not a colour I usually go for.  The lipstick is darker on the lips than it is in the packaging so I was disappointed in that. I don’t wear it as I don’t like the colour but it’s still a great lipstick.

The second colour I purchased was “Barely There” now I love this colour as it is a nudey pink. It has the same consistency and texture as the other one, very hydrating and creamy. I wear this shade all the time, I have actually repurchased it! I pair it with my Essence lip liner in the shade 06 Satin Mauve ( I love these liners but that’s for another day). I think these lip products are great and recommend them to every body I know.

In the future I would like to try the PS Pro lipstick, Lipstick crayons and liquid lipstick and see how it goes. Let me know in the comments if that’s something you would like to read about.
